NEW “FEUERRING” – FUNCTIONALITY AND FINESSE

We have realised a dream by installing an original Swiss Feuerring and have created a new meeting point for our guests. There is nothing more satisfying than feeling the warmth of a roaring fire while sitting around enjoying other people’s company and cooking up a storm.

The clear lines and sculptural beauty of the Feuerring captivated us from the first time we saw it in Switzerland. The whole Wairua adventure began with a phone call to Andreas Reichlin, creator of the Feuerring, asking him if he would consider sending one to New Zealand. His positive, inspiring and uncomplicated response set the wheels in motion and less than two months later, Ernst was able to take our trusty Toyota Hilux up to Auckland and pick up our Feuerring from the wharf.
Since installing the Feuerring, we have had some very enjoyable campfire evenings around it. We are fascinated by the endless possibilities of cooking food on the Feuerring – meat, veges, fish and even deserts! We are so excited to be able to offer this experience to our guests. The Feuerring brings a new dimension to cooking on an open fire to New Zealand – the land of the bbq!
