Floating at Wonderful Jungle / Rainforest Riverbed at Wairua Lodge, Whitianga, NZ

Travel writers Brook Sabin and Radha Engling travelled the length of New Zealand on a Stuff Travel nationwide road trip. They were underway for 100 nights and stayed at some amazing places along the way – one of which was Wairua Lodge.

Wairua Lodge was the last place on their travel marathon and in Brook’s own words “On our 100-day road trip, the only true relaxation I felt was here”.

This media coverage has been invaluable for us – with no international travellers, we are “competing” for a relatively small national market. This exposure has meant we have had guests come and stay from as far away as Christchurch who were doing a long overdue North Island trip and read the article on the Interislander Ferry. We feel privileged that so many fellow New Zealanders and residents have chosen to spend time here at Wairua Lodge. You can read the whole article here.
